We Care Society (WCS) is a professional and forward-looking organization committed to fostering equitable, inclusive, and sustainable development across Africa, the Middle East, SAARC countries, and India. Rooted in the guiding principles of Participation, Partnership, and Empowerment, WCS works collaboratively with governments, institutions, industries, and communities to create impactful models for social, economic, and environmental transformation.
The organization’s initiatives cover a wide spectrum of development domains — Sustainability, Environment and Climate Change Mitigation, Livelihood Promotion, Skilling and Entrepreneurship Development, Sustainable Agriculture, Food Security, and MSME Empowerment. WCS places special emphasis on strengthening the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, recognizing its pivotal role in employment generation, local innovation, and rural industrialization. Through capacity-building programs, technology adoption support, and value chain integration, WCS enables MSMEs to transition toward green and circular economy models, enhancing competitiveness while minimizing environmental impact.
WCS also leads initiatives to enhance digital literacy, coding skills, and computational thinking among youth, women, and rural entrepreneurs, bridging the digital divide and preparing communities for the future of work. The organization promotes innovation-driven development through hackathons, student incubation programs, and skill-oriented entrepreneurship initiatives, connecting technical education with real-world problem-solving and sustainable enterprise creation.
In the field of sustainable agriculture, WCS supports farmers and producer groups to adopt eco-friendly cultivation methods, efficient irrigation systems, and climate-resilient practices that boost productivity while conserving natural resources. Parallelly, WCS’s livelihood and skilling interventions empower rural populations—particularly women and youth—to access diversified income opportunities and establish sustainable micro-enterprises.
By aligning its efforts with national priorities and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), We Care Society is building an ecosystem that nurtures sustainability, strengthens MSMEs, empowers communities, and drives innovation for a resilient and inclusive global future.
WCS since its inception has been focusing its attention on Sustainable Agricultural Development programmes majorly on Productivity enhancement Initiatives with eco friendly technologies with supply chain management with regard to crops such as cotton, sugarcane, maize, paddy and ground nut operating in different states. Of late, more attention is paid on Better Cotton Initiative Programme which is being operated with about 10,000 farmers at present and likely to be expanded to about 20,000 farmers during 2016-17 seasons. This programme is being operated in Raichur District of Karnataka. WCS also has been engaged in capacity building programmes of Farmers and Farm Women, Self Helf Group members, Agri clinics and Agribusiness centres programme for unemployed agricultural graduates and Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programmes of rural youth. In addition to organizing public awareness campaigns on Decent Work as well as workshops and seminars on Farmer Rights, Bio technology, Skill Development, Renewable Energy, Integrated Farming and Agripreneurship.
The staff and consultants have 10-30 years of experience on the concerns of Participatory Approach, Agribusiness, Community Mobilization, Information and Communication, Gender, Agriculture, Health, Education and Natural Resource Management including Irrigation and Water Shed Development and Farmer Field Schools (FFS).
